Green Day are back with their 14th studio album Saviors and it’s a cracker!
Their former producer Rob Cavallo has returned to work with the band after 12 years. He was at the helm on their 1994 breakthrough album Dookie and 2004’s American Idiot and it is a welcome return.
On the track Strange Days Are Here To Stay singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong pinpoints the death of David Bowie as the beginning of global decline! Meanwhile The American Dream Is Killing Me recycles the sentiments of American Idiot and the single One Eyed Bastard owes more than a little to Thin Lizzy.
Along with bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool, Armstrong leads a power trio that is back with a bang and on top form, as Saviors delivers 15 tracks of tuneful punch.
You can judge for yourself as we play a track from Saviors every hour on our dedicated radio station.
