Last December the 29 year old singer announced her split from Little Mix, citing the impact that being in the band was having on her mental health and fans have been speculating as to whether she would return as a performer. They will be excited to hear that she is now planning to launch a solo career backed by U.K. management company YMU.
In a statement, Jesy said: “I am so excited to join YMU and can’t wait to start my next chapter.”
The company’s CEO, Mary Bekhait said, “Jesy has enjoyed incredible success as a recording artist and performer and is well placed to further her remarkable career. She is a hugely talented, versatile and authentic artist with a strong creative vision, and we are looking forward to helping her realise that.”
At the timer of her split from Little Mix Jesy wrote,
“The past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life. We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the 02. Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.”
Little Mix originated from the UK version of X Factor and have had massive worldwide success. While fans are waiting for her first solo releases Jesy’s fans can hear her and the rest of the girls on the radio station that is 100% dedicated to them,
