‘Everyday People’ is one of their best known songs and now Sly and The Family Stone have produced a new animated video to go with it as part of Sony Music’s Black History Month program.
It begins with the caption, “Now more than ever, the message of this song resonates across the globe” It shows a journey through a neighbourhood of different individuals and families and shows how the unity of those people makes a grey city skyline become bright with colour.
Sony Music’s hip-hop and R&B catalogue division are running their Black History Month program with four different themes. The new ‘Everyday People’ is part of the ‘My Black Is History’ theme.
