On July 16th the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band will release Layla Revisited (Live At LOCKN’), their latest album on Fantasy Records.
By way of a teaser there are already four tracks available including Tell The Truth, which is also out on video (click to view).
The album comprises a historic, one-off live recording of the seminal Derek & The Dominoes album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, performed in its entirety with special guest Trey Anastasio.
The 14-piece band includes frequent collaborator Doyle Bramhall II and duelling guitar solos from Derek Trucks and Phish’s Trey Anastasio along with Susan Tedeschi’s gut-punch vocals.
This hugely popular blues band is currently touring their Fireside Sessions in the US and at the end of September they will take up residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre.
