Eleven years after they formed in London, initially as a duo and then a four-piece, Wolf Alice are knocking on the door to major success.
Vocalist Ellie Roswell and guitarist Joff Oddie formed the band as an acoustic duo in 2010, but since 2012 the band has included bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey.
Progress has been steady and assured. Their first album, which followed singles and EP’s, was My Love Is Cool in 2015. This included the single Moaning Lisa Smile which peaked at number 9 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and was nominated for the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance.
The following year saw the release of their second album Visions of a Life, which received universal acclaim from music critics and won the 2018 Mercury Prize. Now comes their latest album Blue Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK album chart.
With all this success it was an easy choice for us to create an Exclusive Radio station for this superb band, and that station is where you can hear two tracks from Blue Weekend every hour.
