As Tom approaches his eighty-first birthday he has clearly been in his element, recording a collection of tunes by a wide range of songwriters. They include the work of legends like Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens as well as lesser known but highly talented tunesmiths such as Malvina Reynolds and Todd Snider.
Tom clearly recognises the advancing years, both in the album’s title and with the song “I’m Growing Old”, which may be the most moving and affecting piece of work on the album.
